usage terms

Here are the Usage Terms for Utter Silence. This section is also known as the "Kuuriku-is-being-a-miserable-bitch-about-this-stuff" section.

images

Utter Silence isn't really strict with the image policy, I just ask that you do not direct-link ANYTHING from here. It kills bandwidth, and makes me VERY mad. Normally, I send polite emails requesting you to either remove the image, or host it on photobucket.com. If you do not stop direct-linking, the emails I send will become less and less polite. Eventually, I get tired of bothering with uncooperative wahoos, and I replace the direct-linked image with a LOUD, BRIGHT, and OBNOXIOUS banner.

premade graphics

The avatars and premade graphics on this site are for the visitor. They're like little gifts from me, to you. Sadly, gifts like these are often never credited for, and are abused. Since more and more people seem to be using my graphics, I have credited terms of usage for each type.

Avatars:
If you are going to use one of my avatars, you need not credit me. I don't really mind, but it IS nice when I stumble upon someone who provides a link back. Sadly, it seems some visitors like to ignore the little text at the top, and decide to direct-link to their heart's content. I am sick of having to deal with this. Since some forums do not allow me to find the direct-linker's email, I am often left without ways to contact them to remove it. I will move or rename the image, and if they direct-link that too, I will replace it with my lovely LOUD, BRIGHT, and OBNOXIOUS avatar with a lovely little message from me, to the direct-linker on it.

Premade Graphics:
These are for webmasters who do not have Photoshop, or any other image editor. I don't mind you using them, but when I see that a webmaster or webmistress has taken them, and said, "Do you like the new enter sign? I made it all by myself!", I get mad. Therefore, I notify the webmaster to please credit me. That's all. If they're direct-linked, I immediatley replace the image with the ugly banner.

stolen layout

This is one of the things I absolutley will not tolerate. No polite emails, no kindness on my part WHATSOEVER. If it is hosted on a free server, I give them a 24 hour time slot to remove the layout, and another other content that was used without my permission. After 24 hours, I notify the server, and get their account suspended, or deleted (depends on the server which they are hosted at).

If the stolen layout is not being used on a freeserver... well... I've been known to leave nasty posts in guestbooks, tagboards, forum, etc. Public humiliation, anyone?

information

Under no circumstances may you use the written information on my site. I worked hard to bring you what information I have, and I think you should work hard as well to bring your visitors your own unique information.

music files

You may not direct-link my music for your site. I will not tolerate this. I will replace the sound file with an extrememly loud screechy thingy. So yeah. Also, regarding the Mp3's, these are for trial use only. Please support Square-Enix, and buy the OST, which can be found at various Yahoo stores.
